STOP PRESS – SCHOOL CLOSED

 Dear Families,

After careful consideration and risk assessment, and in line with other local schools, Ashley Infant School and Ashley Junior School will be closed tomorrow.

As you are aware, storm force winds are forecast which could pose a serious risk of injury. We are following advice to not travel unless essential.

Therefore, we will be asking pupils to undertake remote learning through the apps. Please encourage your child to complete learning on TT Rockstars, Doodle Spell and Maths, Lexia or Reading Plus and enjoy reading some stories with you. We will also enjoy receiving any art work or written accounts or poems about the storm.

We understand this may inconvenience you, but we have not taken this decision lightly. We wish you a safe half term and look forward to welcoming the children back on Tuesday 1st March.
