PTA
If you are a parent or carer of a child at the school, or a member of staff, you are automatically a member of the Parent-Teacher Association.
We hold cake sales, have school discos, support school functions by selling refreshments and run bingo nights. Last year we raised enough money to subsidise several school trips, buy the school a whole set of steel drums and buy a leavers’ T-shirt for each Year 6 child.

Who's Who
At the moment the committee is very small and we really need more parents and carers to get involved. We normally have lots of people who come along to events to help on the night, which is wonderful, but we need more people who can help set up and plan these events in advance.

Ashley Junior School PTA work throughout the school year to ensure events and fundraising activities are organised and supported.
Fundraising activities such as the Smarties challenge, Christmas raffle and movie night, Easter bingo and regular ice cream sales in the summer months always involve the children and families of Ashley Junior School.
Organising such events has allowed the PTA to raise a total £2593.56 since September 2021. This amazing total to date has enabled the purchasing of much needed items for the students of Ashley Junior School. Our recent purchases include:
- Outdoor musical instruments for the sensory garden
- Sports jackets for Team Ashley
- Musical instruments for the music room
- We also support many momentous occasions throughout the year, such as year 6 leaver packages and the recent celebration of 80 years of AJS by purchasing pin badges for all students.
